The 'Fight for This Love’ singer has revealed she was completely in awe of the pop sensation and even gave herself a 'horrendous' hairstyle in a bid to look more like her Cheryl Cole : idol.

She said: 'I was obsessed with Beyonce. I remember seeing the video for 'Bills, Bills, Bills’ and just going, 'Oh my God, who is this girl? I want my hair like hers.’ I literally went out and got my hair bleached peroxide blonde. It took eight hours and it looked horrendous.

'She’s just a star. She’s just got it. She’s everything a woman should be and everything you should want to be as a woman. But I didn’t know that at the time.'

The 26-year-old singer even went so far as to copy the eccentric outfits the US starlet wore with her girl band Destiny’s Child.

Cheryl added to Stylist magazine: 'It was cool. I always wanted that urban, baggy jeans look. I’d cut things up and experiment, it always went dreadfully wrong. And then you hit a point where you think I won’t do that again. I can’t wear that again.'

The 16-year-old singer insists that despite his young age, he has already grown romantically close to more than one person, and believes his smooching technique is Justin Bieber : better than average.

He said: "I'm a good – I'm a great kisser. I’ve made out with a couple of chicks."

The 'Baby’ hitmaker – who was given a Range Rover car by his mentor Usher as a 16th birthday gift – also revealed he loves to take his dates out in the vehicle so they can find a secluded place to stop.

He added on the Johnjay and Rich radio show: "I mean, if you’re driving you make a little stop at, you know, the Wal-Mart rest stop... you're good.'

R&B star Usher has accused TV talent shows of killing the music industry. Usher

Just weeks after the singer appeared as a mentor on the current season of American Idol, Usher has blasted the show and its rivals for making talented singers celebrities and then casting them aside.

He says, "The true art form of music is being lost, because it seems so easy that everyone can do it, and that it can happen overnight. Television is a lie. It can't happen overnight. The artist who thinks that it can just comes and goes. The reason why great singers cannot exist in this time is maybe because they're not properly managed, and maybe they don't understand the full gamut of what being an entertainer is."

To help her overcome her nerves, Cheryl, 26, puts on Beyonce Knowles’ music to inspire her when she is on a shoot.
